High-quality bottle packaging – ideal for gin, whisky, vodka, or rum.

Of course, a fine drop requires a representative outfit. When the decorative exterior is also highly functional and environmentally friendly, it proves to be a gift packaging with inner values – on par with its content.

Alcohol Specialties and Their Packaging – An (Until Now) Unfinished Story

Whisky, vodka, gin, or rum, wine and its sparkling relatives: What they have in common is their alcoholic nature. Made from grapes, potatoes, sugarcane, or grains, they cater to very different tastes and originate from all over the world.

Bottled in classic or trendy designs, they make a "bella figura" on shelves and online stores. Finding a functional and stylish packaging for these liquid treasures, however, has proven difficult. Those who didn't want to craft their own or rely on square boxes were left "staring into the tube." But it is precisely the tube that offers optimal packaging solutions and is perfectly suited for bottle-friendly handling.

Cardboard Tubes – The All-Rounders Among Packaging

Round cartons are not only ideal for posters and architectural plans. From shoe stretchers to hats, various items can be stored in them. Even chips and muesli are well protected thanks to the optional food-grade membrane.

Their stability makes them a robust container, unlike square cartons, which can easily get damaged. For bottle transportation, they are ideal, and renowned whisky manufacturers have long been using cylindrical cardboard tubes. What doesn’t naturally come in such a tube finds its perfect packaging product in a betubed paper cylinder.

"betubed" – Custom Packaging for Fine Spirits

With betubed’s packaging tubes, the round does not need to fit into the square. Elaborate inner cartons to protect rum & co. from shocks are unnecessary with these precisely fitting cylinders. Custom-made, they wrap around the bottle body like a second skin, guaranteeing the best support for various types of alcoholic beverages.

A half-liter bottle of "Knut Hansen" gin, for example, fits perfectly into the 215 x 86 mm tube, in a trendy cool silver-blue "Sage," as if it came directly from the manufacturer. For a 700 ml bottle of rum or wine, the 315 x 86 mm tube is ideal. Smaller, slimmer, wider, or taller – anything is possible with the "handcrafted paper tubes" from the Hamburg-based packaging specialists. Optional details such as embossing and foil finishing can also be customized.

Whether one-, two-, or three-piece – the lid variations make the difference among the three tube models from betubed. The "Combi Tube" starts as the basic model with a simple push-in lid. The striking two-piece "Slip Lid Tube" represents the mid-range. The three-piece "be ready" paper tube stands out in the luxury segment with its flush-fitting lid. Completely handcrafted and with an elegant design, it is considered the Rolls-Royce among betubed tubes and is particularly suited for storing and gifting fine spirits and wines.

High Fashion Meets Sustainability: Packed with a Clear Conscience

What makes these paper tubes so interesting, aside from their exclusive appearance, is their inner value. Only FSC-certified or 100% recycled paper is used in production. Without any environmentally harmful substances, the innovative packaging ideas from the 2019-founded start-up are both eco-friendly and attractive.

Stefan Thiel and Demekssa Duresso were inspired by the vision of sustainable and beautiful packaging cylinders. Together, they developed the concept for "betubed packaging GmbH," based in Hamburg-Eppendorf. A continuously growing team of specialists surrounds the TubeBoys.
